Hi, I’m Dana.

A woman with short dark hair wearing a denim jacket and turquoise earrings, smiling at the camera in a dimly lit bar or entertainment venue with screens and colorful lights in the background.

An artist painting in the woods of Illinois. Proudly Neurodivergent. Mexican. Native American.

My mixed media portraits draw from my Native American & Mexican heritage. Captivated by forests, my paintings have a serene narrative with a soulful message. Each painting tells an untold story about women in a way that words cannot. I often paint mystical and feminine archetypes. My paintings are meant to evoke feelings of peacefulness, strength and warmth. My work is mixed media, built up in layers of acrylic paint, inks, collage, and textiles, intentionally aged and distressed to obtain an old world charm. If you love vintage or antiques, you will love my work!

My paintings now live in homes across the world, from South Africa to Switzerland, Australia to Beijing, and every corner in between.
