My Work

Every piece in this collection is made by hand in my studio in Illinois. My mixed media paintings are built up in layers of acrylic paint, inks, textiles and collage with an intentionally aged, old world feel. My portrait commissions are beloved and cherished. They bring me so much joy to paint!

My jewelry is crafted from glass beads, Swarovski crystals, welding, soldering, silk knotting, vintage components, found objects and mixed materials, making each piece as one of a kind as the person wearing it. My jewelry is handmade by me, a professional artist and my jewelry has been in gallery exhibitions making each piece artisian-level, exquisite, rich and unique. It is not massed-produced costume jewelry.

I think Dana’s paintings are amazing! I have a collection of them, and I hold each one close to my heart. The color and texture of her paintings are more incredible in person. Shipping was quick, and the painting was carefully wrapped.

I adore this painting - thank you! I appreciated the photos and video before buying and it’s even more amazing in the flesh with such vibrant colours, textures and intricate details. Every aspect of purchasing and receiving this painting went very well. I highly recommend buying from this talented artist.

She is a very talented artist. I own 4 of her portraits and love her style. She can tell a very powerful story through her art. One portrait I have I interpret in different ways. You cannot actually tell the race of the woman; she is traveling somewhere and you have to decide where yourself; you see the scene that she travels through in the day and in the night.

There are symbols of nature as birds are accompanying her on her journey; she has long hair with flowers in it and a dress with flowers, also representing nature to me. Is this her journey through life? Wherever she is going she has a very determined look on her face that she will indeed arrive. The story changes each time I look at the portrait according to my mood. All of her paintings are very colorful.
